So for Question set 1 your answer would need to be at least 250 words long. Below are the directions and questions. Answer each of the following question sets while following the accomplished grading criteria cited in the assignment rubric. Label each answer by question set (i.e. Question Set 1). Questions may be restated in answers. Question Set 1: How does the sociological perspective reveal “the general in the particular?” To illustrate, explain how society played a part in your own decision to attend college. Question Set 2: Explain the difference between qualitative and quantitative research methods? What type of data do surveys gather? What topics would surveys be the best research method? Explore further, think of a topic that you are interested in and write down a research question and hypothesis. Question Set 3: Explain the difference between material and nonmaterial culture. Identify three objects that are part of your regular cultural experience. For each item identify what aspects of nonmaterial culture (i.e. values and beliefs) these objects represent. Define cultural lag and provide examples. Question Set 4: Why are twin studies an important way to learn about the relative effects of genetics and socialization? Define total institution. Does resocialization require a total institution? Explain. Lastly, identify a positive moment or event in your life that was significant to your socialization?
